Important Changes to Carparking
The parking areas at the airport have now been re-zoned and a new fare structure introduced. Take a look at the parking map below to view the new zones. Use the Parking Calculator adjacent, to calculate your parking charges.
Drop-Off Zone
There is a drop-off lane in front of the terminal building. You may park in this area for no longer than two minutes and vehicles may not be left unattended. To find the drop-off area follow the signs for ‘Drop-Off’ when approaching the airport.

Vehicle Rentals
Christchurch International Airport is home to many of the world's leading vehicle rental companies.
Taxis
Various taxi companies are available for all flights.
Travel time: 15– 20 minutes to the city centre
Cost: $30 - $50. Prices may vary by each taxi company.
Shuttles
A door-to-door service is available, from various companies, to all parts within Christchurch.
Travel time: 20– 30 minutes to the city centre
Cost: $15 - $20 per person. Cost reduces for two or more passengers travelling together.
Buses
There are two Christchurch bus services that run from the airport to the city centre, the number 29 via Fendalton and the number 10 via Merivale. All buses arrive and depart from the front of the main terminal building.

Coaches
- Domestic departing passengers will be dropped off outside the International Departures entrance.
- International departing passengers will be dropped off at the International Coach Park, at the end of the International Arrivals Hall.
- All arriving passengers, domestic and international, will be picked up from the International Coach Park.
